Fascia Replay - Feb 20-21 2010
-Scientists and practitioners from all over the world met in Amsterdam last year and had a four day discussion on research, theories, and techniques involving fascia/connective tissue of the body.  We watched 14 hours worth of presentations taped at the Amsterdam conference.

Yogic approach to Visceral Manipulation - March 12-13 2011
-Certain yoga poses or routines used to compress and lengthen various organs.  We also covered some manual techniques to assess and treat the motility and mobility of various organs by applying pressure in specific areas of the abdomen and around the borders of the lower ribcage.  The organs focused on in this course were the liver (and gallbladder), stomach, small intestines, kidneys, bladder and uterus as well as valves between structures of the digestive system.

Assessment and Treatment of the Thoracic Spine - March 26-27 2011
-Using some muscle energy techniques, we treated typical back issues resulting from activities such as sitting at a computer and reaching forward for the mouse, as well as other physical activities.  These repetitive actions lead to the vertebrae getting stuck somewhat twisted, resulting in scoliosis when numerous segments are involved, or a specific segment causing pain or less movement.  We also talked about ribs and their mobility and restrictions.  Releasing the ribs allows improved breathing, and pain relief when someone has suffered some kind of trauma at the ribs.
